Certifications and controls:
IFS
As a food producer, we meet several strict legal requirements to ensure that consumers always get products that have been manufactured responsibly and are of good quality. The International Food Standard (IFS certification) ensures this at Launis, and is a certification of all our production.
The standard is widely recognized and makes high demands on both food safety, quality, building design, hygiene and employee behavior, etc., and we are proud to have it.
Our self-monitoring process is based on the HACCP principle, and all production processes undergo continuous bacteriological control and are characterized by high hygiene.
Our quality department ensures we meet the demands and expectations of consumers, customers and authorities worldwide.
Fødevarestyrelsen
Launis A/S is monitored by the Danish food authorities.
Sustainability
Launis offers both MSC and ASC certified products.
A sustainable approach
We know that our production, transport, and packaging affect the environment, but we work purposefully to develop our business in a responsible and sustainable way.
Sustainable certification
MSC
The blue MSC label is certified sustainable wild catch fishery. The blue MSC label is only found on wild-caught fish. MSC-labelled seafood products originate from fisheries that have been independently assessed according to MSC’s high fishing standards. Companies that use the MSC label along the entire supply chain – from sea to table – are assessed to ensure that the product can be traced back to an MSC-certified fishery.
ASC
The Aquaculture Stewardship Council is an independent, international non-profit organization that administers the world’s leading certification and labeling program for responsible aquaculture. ASC sets the standard for sustainable fish and shellfish farming.
These environmental standards for sustainable farming are approved and controlled according to three principles that define responsible aquaculture:
To get a product ASC certified, all companies in the supply chain must be checked and approved. These are strict requirements, but we are happy to do so to ensure sustainable production, which can also feed future generations.
